Description

In 1801 G.W.F. Hegel published in Jena his dissertation on De orbitis planetarum, in which he discusses the calculation of the positions of the planets. Apart from the critiques concerning Hegel’s “mistakes” in calculations, the Dissertatio constitute a fundamental moment in the history of the intersections between science and philosophy and testifies Hegel’s reception of Plato’s work.
