Description

The Bipontine edition of Plato’s work was published in Germany (Zweibrücken/Biponti) during the 1780s and includes Stephanus’ Greek edition as well as Ficino’s Latin translation. It includes 11 volumes and a collection of varia lectiones at the end of volumes 3, 5, 7, 8, 11. This edition was consulted by the young Schelling as he worked on the Timaeus and the Philebus in 1794.
