Description

The Cambridge Platonist Ralph Cudworth published a first volume of his major work, The True Intellectual System of the Universe, in 1678, which raised a polemics among the theologians; for this reason, a second volume was never published. In his extensive work Cudworth discusses about liberty and necessity and aims to reject all the atheistic philosophies in the light of a Platonic perspective.
